Falling backwards, walking circles all across my mind Finding patterns, tracing over looks and prideless lines There's a timeline, dates and weapons, but the motive's lost We had the ending predetermined, but forgot the plot When I think of things that I've started I want to get them all off my chest Warm up vocal cords then I'll shout it Getting ready to make my point, but then I forget The cumulonimbus have passed, now can I go outside? Be there by six. Well where was I? Forgot my alibi. Dissect the recall frame by frame then sort it and distill I let the thief in, dropped my guard, then gladly watched her steal When I think of things that I've started I want to get them all off my chest Warm up vocal cords then I'll shout it Getting ready to make my point, but then I forget When I comes to all I've said and done The only thing that I've done wrong Is put it off another day Now, what was I going to say?

Dark roast And while chocolate mocha Soy milk cappucino Maybe a breve Or something in between They all started off as coffee beans Possibly organically Hopefully traded fairly For anyone inovolved Caffeine is running through my veins Speeding up my heart rate and keeping me awake I have only one complaint All of my teeth are stained Caffeine is running through my veines Speeding up my heart rate and making me insane Coffee is all I want to taste I'll have the flavor of the day There's some differentiation In their preparation Giving false sensations of superiority Your pick depends on your palate Remeber not to forget That it doesn't make Anybody wrong Caffeine is running through my veins Speeding up my heart rate and keeping me awake I have only one complaint All of my teeth are stained Caffeine is running through my veines Speeding up my heart rate and making me insane Coffee on every single break Is giving me a case of the shakes

I take it back The brush off and all regrets Forget my listless regards Now dancing down boulevards is all I want So here's the catch Common knowledge and distress It's not that I want you back It's just you're the one I miss Oh, it's not over I've got problems; You're my disorder And there's no vaccination Or known cure for this fixation I take it back The curses and all the rest Effervescent memories Are prolonging this disease Oh, it's not over I've got problems; You're my disorder And there's no vaccination Or known cure for this fixation

It's kind of funny, I guess The way you always call me Casanova In jest when I pull you close It seems apparent that my lies Are more than just have truths But trust me, darling, when I say That I love you That's no lie You bite your lip and wait with anticipation Of ever-afters, and my taste Upon your tongue The backs of eyelids are painted With curves and soft-glow lights The sweet release from this brain's Lullabies That's no lie

Organize the orchid eyes comes Tuesday A lily lip-lock under the pear tree Pitter-patter, pitter-patter running off your windshield Pitter-patter, pitter-patter running down your cheek All I know Is I'm ready for you I'm ready for you Missing all the cracks, my god you're graceful A glowing beauty burning through the streets We're just children hiding in the grapevines Wine and a bed for two is hard to beat All I know Is I'm ready for you I'm ready for you And all I know Is it's helping me, too And I'm waiting for June And I'm ready for you

about

This is a recording of The Wire Frames' performance on May 8, 2012, at Iowa Public Radio's Studio One. It was for a play-in competition to get to the main stage at 80/35, a music festival in Des Moines. Alas, it was not to be for our humble heroes, but it was a great experience nonetheless. (I didn't know if that was one word, but it isn't being auto-corrected. The more you know.)

Download comes with four bonus photos, none of which are particularly great.
